Marley and Me (7.5)

I've almost seen all the movie that I had to (or even those I totally don't need to see) in the same period. But I met Shin for a movie. Kinda not having any choice. Marley & Me seems like a less rubbish one from the poster. Very surprisingly good movie tho. I think it almost the best way to take movie in this kinda topic. Relationship between dogs, human, couple, family, friends~~~ Things that might happen anywhere around you and it's just so real and touching. And when I thought of how could they shoot a dog so naturally, and all the actors have done a great job! The kid actors are amazing too~

All the actors (including the Marley) must had some good times together for the movie, that's what I feel from the movie :) Go and see it and you wont be disappointed even you might not a dog lover.

On the Cliff by the Sea (6.5)

For Hayao Miyazaki animation, it is a bit over simple, style-wise. The background has been drawn a bit too flat I think... the charactors look like they are running on a piece of card board. Well, if it's done by someone else, probably we would say it is rough... But if Hayao Miyazaki do it, it might be claimed as a new style of him lo. Bcoz we have seen how amazingly detail he has done before :D.

The story doesn't contain as much messages as his previous ones. It's not better or worse but different. It's good in a way that he is doing something else but I m not sure if it a kind of moving forward. I do enjoy the animation. It's pretty fresh~~ It must be some people like it and some doesn't. But the most import thing is, it does sell!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (7)

It's a good movie but not too surprising... It does has a cool treatment when Cate Blanchette has broken her leg. It is very interesting if you see it the first time (or first few times) but obviously it's not new and I've seen it a few times before in other movies. The story is a bit boring at the end. Of cause Brad Pitt and Cate were acting great. Cate was very pretty too... One thing I m very impressed, Brad Pitt's young look was incredibly real and handsome :D haha... CG can do anything on movie really...

End of rat year~

It was a few unfortunate things happened since I came back...
- broken glass door in toilet
- light was broken at home~
- the worse pasta I have ever had T__T
- broken milk foam maker for coffee :(
- shit movie at the last day of the year
but I claimed all of them happened at the end of Rat year~~~ everything will be good in the OX year~~~~ ho ho ho

Year of saving~

Talked to Jimond abt a107. Seems that I really shouldn't have any further move before I have some more saving... yep... I found my reason to save money... and I m doing it... and.... I can get it done! my target, $200 000 on 2009 :)

Grandpa's funeral

My grandpa passed away 2 days before I came back to HK... um... My mum told me he went in a comfort way. And the funeral is held from 20thJan night to 21stJan afternoon. Basically, we just go there and do whatever the staff there asked us to do. It's not much to do when we were there. Just to fold a lot of "gold" and "silver" and talk to some relatives I never really met over there. I thought, it is such a weird job to do as a staff there... it's a lot of procedure to remember and some weird songs to sing in a specific tone. I suppose they were singing in cantonese but I can't even understand what they were singing. I wanna understand a bit more of their life. Where do they live? What do they do in their spear time. um... anyway.. back to the funeral... to be entirely honest, I am not very close to my grandpa. But it does remind me my Grandma a lot ~_~ and I do love her... and I missed her funeral a few years ago T__T and... it was a month or 2 months after CNY (2002?)... I so much feeling I had to come back to meet my grandma that year and I did. and it was the last time... um...

Unluckiness at the end of the year~~

The bad luck just keep sticking with me at the first few days I since I came back~~ -_- first, I've broken the glass door in the shower at home~ and then I've broken the glass container for heating milk for coffe :(:( and keep coughing non-stop since I came back too ~_~ ... But, I claimed it as the bad luck at the end of the Chinese year :D:D.. things will go well soooon after CNY~~~

It's a very fresh and light love story that would make you smile from your heart~~ the scripts throughout the whole movie were very good... The first movie I've seen this year... it seems to be a good start of 2009 ^__^~~
